It’s official! I have signed up to run for my third term as a NH state representative for Rockingham 38! I look forward to meeting with my constituents from Greenland, North Hampton and Rye. About Peggy

Peggy Balboni was first elected as a New Hampshire State Representative in 2022. She grew up in Vermont, where both of her parents taught in the local schools, and received a BS in Psychology from Georgetown University and a MA in Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. After graduation, she taught in the public schools of Somerville, MA and an early childhood program in New York City.

Peggy and her husband, Jeff, moved to Rye NH in 1994 where they raised their four children who attended the Rye Public Schools.  Over the years, Peggy volunteered on many municipal, educational and community boards.  She served on the Rye School Board for nine years and twelve years on the Rye Budget Committee. She has been a member of the House Education Committee, the NH State Advisory Committee on the Education of Children with Disabilities, the Legislative Oversight Committee for the Education Improvement and Assessment Program and the Education Freedom Savings Account Oversight Committee
